Welcome to the podcast! Today I am delighted to be joined by Sharon Martin, LCSW. Sharon is a licensed psychotherapist, writer, speaker, and media contributor on emotional health and relationships. Her psychotherapy practice in San Jose, CA specialises in helping individuals overcome codependency and perfectionism, and learn to accept and love themselves.
Sharon started her career as a psychotherapist working with the neediest members of our community — those struggling with addiction, mental illness, homelessness, legal and family problems.
With 20 years of experience counseling and studying human behavior and mindset, Sharon created a personal development website that provides self-improvement tools using positive psychology, mindfulness, self-compassion, and healthy habits.
Sharon hopes to touch lives and inspire change in many more people through her self-help articles and books. She is the author of two e-books: Navigating the Codependency Maze and Setting Boundaries without Guilt and writes the popular blog Happily Imperfect for PsychCentral.com. She is also a columnist for The Good Men Project, Courage to be Me; and has written articles published in Your Tango, About.com, The New Social Worker, Bon Bon Break, Bustle, Sammiches and Psych Meds.
